China Link Scholarship Programme 2026–2027

The China Link Scholarship Programme 2026–2027, an initiative of the China Scholarship Council (CSC), offers fully-funded, short-term academic and research exchange opportunities in China. This programme is designed to deepen academic bonds, enhance the exchange of scientific talent, and foster mutual understanding between China and other nations globally. Rather than a traditional degree, this exchange lasts between one and 12 months, providing an ideal path for students and academics to acquire international research experience.

The program is divided into two award categories: General Scholar (for undergraduate and postgraduate students) and Senior Scholar (for PhD candidates and academic faculty members). All academic disciplines are supported under this scholarship, with the exception of Chinese language studies. Teaching and supervision can be conducted in either English or Chinese depending on the host university.

✔️ A monthly living stipend of CNY 3,000 for General Scholars and CNY 3,500 for Senior Scholars

✔️ Must be a citizen of a country other than China
✔️ Must be in good mental and physical health
✔️ General scholars must be under 45 years of age, and senior scholars must be under 50 years of age
✔️ Must be registered as a full-time student or employed full-time as academic staff at a foreign partner university of the CSC
✔️ Must have obtained an admission qualification from a Chinese host university before applying
