About This Scholarship
The Ferguson Scholarship is funded by the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust, an organization dedicated to improving educational opportunities for international students who would not otherwise be able to consider studying in the United Kingdom. For the September 2026 intake, three scholarships are available to outstanding students from India and African nations.
This scholarship supports students pursuing postgraduate taught Master of Science (MSc) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees in fields such as pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, psychology, neuroscience, and genomic medicine. The award provides full tuition fee coverage up to £22,500, as well as a substantial stipend of £6,000 to assist with living expenses during the academic year.
Applications for this scholarship will open via an online webform on March 2, 2026. Applicants must first secure an offer of admission to an eligible program at the host university and provide their 9-digit application number upon submission.

Eligibility Requirements
✔️ Must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for one of the eligible postgraduate taught programmes at Aston University
✔️ Be a national from India or an African country
✔️ Hold a 2:1 degree or equivalent in a relevant subject for the applied course
✔️ Be a self-funded student
✔️ No agency-referred candidates are eligible
✔️ Must be able to provide evidence to the UKVI of ability to fully contribute to remaining living costs
