About This Scholarship
The Fulbright Foreign Student Program in Rwanda is a prestigious, fully funded scholarship initiative sponsored by the U.S. Embassy. It is designed to enable Rwandan professionals to pursue master’s degree studies in the United States. The program actively promotes academic excellence, leadership development, professional growth, and mutual cultural exchange between Rwanda and the United States.
Recipients of this scholarship will benefit from comprehensive financial support covering tuition, living expenses, airfare, and academic materials. In exchange, applicants are expected to return to Rwanda upon graduation to apply their new skills and knowledge toward the development of their local communities and institutions.

Eligibility Requirements
✔️ Be citizens or nationals of Rwanda
✔️ Hold a valid Rwandan passport or permanent residency status
✔️ Be affiliated with an academic or professional institution in Rwanda
✔️ Commit to returning and working in Rwanda after the programme
✔️ Hold at least four years of university study, or the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree (three-year undergraduate degrees may be accepted if specific criteria are met)
✔️ Hold a valid Rwandan passport or permanent residency status
